While pursuing his business degree in St. Catharines in 2004, Phil Poulin got his start in the landscaping industry during the summer months. After graduation and having developed an extensive love for and knowledge of the landscape industry, Phil decided to pursue his dream of running his own company. After moving to the London area with his wife Niki in 2010, he founded ‘Grassy Boots Lawn and Landscape”. The company was built with a focus on staying small and providing meticulous management and maintenance of residential and commercial landscapes. Since 2010, Grassy Boots has operated as a reputable and reliable firm in the London area and has expanded it’s service offerings over the years to include landscape design, hardscape and softscape installation, custom fence/deck builds and home renovations. With this in mind, and to reflect new goals of the business, and Phil himself, the company was rebranded in 2020 as ‘Cedar and Spade Landscape and Build’. A nod to the classic building material and garden tool that have both stood the test of time.
Phil is a proud Old East Villager, husband, and father of 2 girls. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, playing chess and the culinary arts.
